So many people ask me about my putamplexos salutation, at the end of my emails, that I decided that having a explanation page could be a nice idea. So, here it is:
Putamplexos is a neologism. The first person I know to use this word was André Carvalho, a brazilian drummer, marketing professional, and journalist that runs a website named OBaterista.com.
The word born from the concatenation between the coarse superlative augmentative "puta" (literally "bitch", in brazilian portuguese) and the intellectual form of the word "hug" ("amplexo", in brazilian portuguese). Hence, putamplexos means "a big hug" (a common informal brazilian salutation in emails).
Putamplexos é um neologismo. A primeira pessoa que eu vi usar esta palavra foi o André Carvalho, um baterista brazileiro, profissional de marketing, e jornalista que produz o website OBaterista.com.
A palavra nasceu da concatenação entre o superlativo aumentativo chulo "puta" e a forma culta da palavra "abraço" (amplexo). Assim, "putamplexo" quer dizer "um grande abraço", mas é muito mais curta (e ideal para terminar os meus emails).
